2026 Advent Calendar Mystery KAL by Garn Manufaktur

Welcome to the 2026 Advent Calendar Mystery KAL hosted by Garn Manufaktur! This year’s Mystery KAL project is a half-round shawl using multiple colors, including some simple cable patterns. These Advent calendars are lovingly made in Garn Manufaktur's yarn factory in Germany and are available in 4 festive colorways. 

How does the Mystery KAL work?

The KAL begins on December 1st, 2026 and runs through December 24. Each day at around 9 a.m. in Germany (Midnight in Seattle, WA) a new email revealing a piece of the pattern will arrive with instructions including which color of yarn will be used.The instruction emails are sent to the name and email address specified on the order.

The instructions are manageable for both beginners and experienced knitters in one evening. The Advent season is often quite stressful, so we love allowing ourselves this daily moment to create. Of course, if something comes up you can always finish the project at your own pace. Some people save their advent and begin their own KAL starting January 1st as a way to welcome the New Year!

In addition there is also an optional Facebook group where you can join your fellow advent knitters, share photos & color combinations, and celebrate the daily progress.

• Advent calendar with 24 mini-hanks of yarn 25g (96 yds) each in selected colorway
