Bridge Screw-in closures are flexible, require no commitment, no sewing and no pre-planning. These adornments can transform garments functionally and decoratively, used as closures, to create shaping, or to add style and visual interest. Like pedestal buttons, bridges use screw mechanisms, which makes them moveable and removable. Bridge closures are ideal for garments and accessories you don't intend to take on and off often, or for pieces which can be taken on and off by going over your head.
The Spiral Bridge was inspired by the cut-out motifs of an ancient Chinese bronze spoon. It is large, bold, a gorgeous piece of jewelry that may be attached to any garment or accessory by screwing in, no pre-planning or commitment required.
To use the Spiral Bridge, unscrew the screw drom the threaded cylinder and remove the back disk from the shank. With the threaded cylinder held in the Spiral Bridge, work the shank gently in between the stitches of your garment or accessory from the front. Place the back disk over the cylinder shank on the back side of the piece. Screw in the screw with your fingers to secure. For semi-permanent attachment and to avoid losing screws or backings, place a tiny drop of clear nail polish in the threaded cylinder before securing. This will keep the closure in place while it's on the body but still allows you to unscrew it when you are ready for a change.
