Park City Shawl Kit by Kyle Kunnecke

Park City shawl by Kyle Kunnecke begins with a squishy garter stitch body bordered by i-cord before shifting to the main event: a band of stranded colorwork worked with either two or three colors per row.

The locked floats technique helps create a neat finish on both sides, prevents long floats, and—when worked as Kyle teaches it in his workshops—removes color dominance so each color appears with equal intensity. Locked floats are not required for this pattern, but they do create an especially tidy fabric. If you prefer traditional stranded knitting, simply trap any floats longer than one inch.
