Forest Floor Shawl Kits by Marci Marra

Inspired by the quiet beauty beneath the trees, the Forest Floor shawl by Marci Marra captures the organic rhythm of pine needles scattered in every direction, fallen leaves, slender twigs, and the last hints of flowers as the seasons turn. What first appears as a tangle of shapes and colors soon reveals an underlying harmony — nature’s own pattern emerging from the chaos.

The project is worked flat using charts and the techinque of mosaic knitting. It begins at the bottom point with slow, predictable increases to its final size. A two-color i-cord bind off finishes the longest side of the triangle. Our kits use two strands of Silky Cat held together as one yarn for the project. 

You will find that the kit has enough yarn to use the yarns in either order, but our sample used Starke 6 for Color A and Silky Cat for Color B.
