Color the World Shadow Knitting Kit
The technique of shadow knitting uses strategically placed knit and purl stitches to create a shape that can only be seen from an angle - and not when looked at straight on. Each kit includes detailed knitting instructions, along with charts. This yarn is made of 4 individual plies held together, and wound by hand in Germany.
For this project, you can choose to make the motif (the world) or the background the color gradient.
The yarn used in this kit is made from recycled fibers. Mainly scraps from textile production and yarn production are first sorted by color and then processed into regenerated cotton yarn. A process is used that does not require dyeing again, thus water consumption and environmental pollution are greatly reduced. The result is a soft, supple yarn with a linen look - excellent to work with.
