It's time for a Holiday ADVENTure with the 2nd Annual Makers' Mercantile Advent Calendar. With opportunities to create your own unique journey, this limited-edition gift will inspire joy all month long. This year's calendar is available in five colorways and includes over 2100 yards of fingering weight yarn, a mystery KAL divided into 12 parts with emails revealing clues, PLUS gifts and treats to enjoy along the journey. Each section of the pattern offers the opportunity to "choose your own path" which results in a one-of-a-kind souvenir celebrating the adventure.

The adventure begins on December 1st.
You will receive an email with all the information you need to get started, what to expect as the journey continues. The goal is to enjoy this adventure at your own pace, so we have divided the project so that you have two days to knit before the next clue is released. The project is a wearable object.
There is a daily package to open, along with the release of sections of the pattern throughout the month. You will have 2 days to complete a section of the pattern before the next update is shared.
When your box arrives, open the calendar and kick off the adventure with three welcome gifts - an exclusive zippered project bag, a cake of Madrona by HiKoo (30% Baby Alpaca*, 30% Merino Wool, 20% Bamboo Viscose, 20% Nylon)
in your selected colorway, AND a skacel by addi circular needle! Read the enclosed letter for a refresher on how the calendar is planned.

Advent Calendars will be shipped to participants in early November, 2024. Upon receipt, feel free to open the box. Inside, you will find a note that explains what to do next.
Beginning December 1st, you will receive daily emails that tell you which package to open. On this day (for example), you will find a beautiful ball of fingering weight 75% superwash wool / 25% biodegradeable nylon yarn (approximately 42 yards) ready to use. Refer to that day's email to get the snippet of pattern which offers a chance for you to choose your own adventure. Each pattern update offers the chance to select a unique path.
The next day, another email will arrive sharing which gift is next to open, and you will continue knitting on the first part of the project. You will have two days to work on each section before you arrive at the next crossroads. Of course you can take the scenic route and spend more time on sections as needed.
This process will continue with daily messages, gifts to open, and pattern clues revealed.
Shortly after the conclusion of the adventure, we will send the complete pattern to you via Ravelry.
