Upcoming Special Guests

May, 2021 - Barb Demerost, founder of Knitted Knockers

Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable. They typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast. Our special volunteer knitters provide these FREE to those requesting them. Learn more HERE.

June, 2021 - TBD

July, 2021 - TBD

August, 2021 - Alison Lang, Printmaker and crafter at And So There

So, There : Since 2010 Alison Lang has been printing the little sayings and characters from her head onto cards, journals, and fabric to share with the world. She uses a collection of modern and antique tools– including a giant letterpress– to print, bind, trim, and fold it all herself. She is inspired by problems that need solving, materials that need to be reclaimed, typography, nostalgia, and a dry sense of humor. You can find her work online at www.andsothere.com, at her studio in Downtown Issaquah, and at the annual Historic Shell Holiday Shop pop-up in Issaquah each winter.
