Founded in 2017 by Emre Koc, Urth Yarns has a mission to help Earth and its people. They plant a tree in Africa for every skein of yarn sold, which means to date they have planted over 200,000 new trees.

Meet founder Emre Koc, the third-generation in his family to sell yarn. After attending the University of Virginia, he returned to Turkey where he assisted his mother in her yarn shop. Soon after, he returned to the US and began selling garments hand knit in Turkey to shops across the country.
