Ladderback Jacquard with KC Knitting Co.
Ladderback Jacquard (LBJ) is a game-changing technique for managing colorwork floats that reduces the bunching and puckering that can happen with colorwork, doesn’t ever show through on the right side, and virtually eliminates yarn tangles (really!). Once you learn, you may never go back! In this class, you’ll learn:
- How to prepare your chart for LBJ – very important!
- When to use LBJ versus the traditional float-catching method
- How to work the LBJ technique
Recommended for knitters who are comfortable with stranded colorwork. We’ll be working on the Pelagia cowl in class. This pattern has a 2-color colorwork motif with plenty of areas with long floats for you to learn and practice LBJ.
