Knit Your Best Fit! Everything you need to know to knit seamless sweaters that fit

In this 3-hour class you’ll learn all about how seamless sweater construction affects your fit, which techniques are best for seamless knitting, and how to set yourself up for success when knitting a seamless project. You’ll learn all about ease, fit, gauge, fabric, and how different design styles and shapes will affect how much ease you’ll want for your garment. You’ll learn a range of considerations (like when to rely on your full bust measurement vs. your upper bust), how your arm circumference should weigh into your size decisions, and so much more! This class is packed with skills and insights that even seasoned knitters will find useful. With these resources in your knitting toolbox, you’ll be able to knit a sweater that fits – every time! Students will also receive Marie’s “Seamless Sweater Fit” e-book (included in your class fee).

Supplies:
• Worsted weight yarn (in a medium to light color)
• US Size 5 and US Size 6 needles
• Tape measure

Homework:
With US Size 5 needles and worsted weight yarn, knit a swatch as follows:
Cast on 40 stitches using your preferred method.
Rows 1-4: Knit to end of row.
Row 5: Knit to end of row.
Row 6: Knit 4, purl to last 4 sts, knit 4.
Repeat Rows 5 and 6 until your swatch measures about 4.5 inches from the cast-on edge.
Knit 4 rows, then bind off in pattern.

Bring your swatch, along with yarn and needles (listed in supplies) to class.
