Learn to Sew Series - Class 2: A Pillowcase



Whether you joined us in the first Learn to Sew Series class or already know how to set up and thread a sewing machine, come join us in making an impressive beginner project - a Pillowcase! Choosing your materials is only half the fun!

In this second class you will learn how to cut, line up, then sew materials together to make a completely unique queen size pillowcase. Bring your own pre-washed fabric or purchase some at Makers’ Mercantile a few days before the class.


Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Beginner - Class 1, or sewing machine exper.
Materials Included: A one-time 10% off coupon for in-store merchandise (excludes classes).
Requirements: Two different cotton fabrics: WASH YOUR FABRIC BEFORE CLASS. - Main Color/Design: For fabric over 52? wide, you will need 3⁄4 of a yard. For fabric less than 52? wide, you will need 1 1⁄4 yards. - Contrast Color/Design: 1⁄4 of a yard - Ribbon (1⁄2" - 1 1⁄2? wide): 1 1⁄4 yards - Thread: 1 spool of matching/complementary color
