Entrelac Hat

Entrelac is a knitting technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. The result resembles basket-woven strips of knitted fabric. In this class you will not only learn to knit entrelac in the round but you will also learn to knit (or purl) backwards. Once you learn this fun technique you will be able to make all kinds of entrelac projects!

Tuition of $55 includes: Two 2-hour sessions, a copy of the pattern, and a one-time 10% off discount coupon for in-store merchandise (excludes classes).

Some preliminary homework is required for this class. Bring completed homework to first class:

Homework: Using your chosen yarn and a 16” or 20” circular needle, CO 99 (108) sts and join, being careful not to twist the stitches.  Place marker to denote beg of rnd. Knit 12 rnds.

Skill Level: Knit, purl, decrease, and work in the round.

Requirements: Yarn - Schoppel: Ambiente 2 balls - or- Zitron Unisono 1 hank, addi Needles 3.75 (approx. US 5) 16 or 20 inch circular needle and 3.75 (approx. US 5) 8 inch double pointed needles, stitch marker & tapestry needle
