What is the Makers’ Closeup Flash Challenge?

It’s a surprise flash challenge that gives you a chance to win yarn!

How does it work?

We will randomly post a challenge on Instagram that shows a close-up image of one of our yarns. To win, you must like the photo and be the first valid entrant to correctly identify the yarn brand name and colorway. Submit your answer by following the link in our bio that leads to the submission form. The first valid entrant to submit the correct answer will win a skein/ball/hank of the yarn featured in the photo.

What if I don’t know which yarn it is?

The photos we use are close-ups of images directly from our website. It may take a little searching to find the answer. 

I didn’t see your post until hours later, how can I make sure I see the challenge photo as soon as it’s posted?

To get a notification as soon as we post a photo on Instagram turn on post notifications. The sooner you see the challenge post, the better chance you have at being the first to answer correctly

The Makers' Mercantile® Close Up Flash Challenge is sponsored and administered by Maker's Mercantlile®. Contest begins at the time the contest photo is posted to Instagram and ends 24hrs after the post date. The first valid entrant that likes the Instagram photo and submits the full correct answer via the submission form will win one hank/skein/ball of the yarn in the same colorway as shown in the contest picture. No exchanges or returns allowed. Contest winner will be contacted via email. A reply to the winning email is required within 48 hours before a new winner is chosen. Makers' Mercantile® reserves the right to publish winner’s first name and last initial via social media including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, and newsletters. If the yarn is no longer available, a substitute of equal or greater value will be selected by Makers' Mercantile®.
