Job Title: Sales Associate (part time)
Description: Do you have knowledge of yarns or fabrics and fiber arts? Do you want to get paid for sharing that knowledge and having fun? THEN WE NEED YOU!
Ok, it may not all be fun. We do need to receive and label products, dust shelves and vacuum, but in general we are here to help our customers, sell them what they need and desire, and we have a great time doing it! If this sounds like a worthwhile venture to you, and you are available evenings and Saturdays especially, we are interested in you!
Responsibilities and Duties
Sales of yarn, fabric, fiber, tools and materials used in fiber arts, as well as gifts, and items in our cafe
Operating simple computer systems and navigating the internet for pattern sales and orders
Checking inventory and filling stock in showroom
Engaging with customers during workshops and events as needed
Providing images and content for our social media accounts
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge of the fiber arts, including knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, felting, fabric painting, and/or sewing is highly desirable.
Must have excellent time management skills and be highly organized.
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and working with teams.
Must be reliable, and show up when scheduled to work.
Ability to make espresso, prepare drinks, and simple assembly/heating of foods for customers.
MAST or food certification appreciated, but not necessary at point of hire. Certifications will be required for new employees.
Sales experience, or willingness to learn.
Ability to work in an ever-changing, creative, fast-paced environment

The ideal candidate will:
• Have reliable transportation and be at work every day. Reliability is extremely important.
• Possess basic math skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Be able to stand the entire shift, and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely in a high production environment.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; pay close attention to detail.
• Follow procedures and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Assist in all aspects of warehouse work as needed.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn shipping and order fulfillment systems.
