We're excited to be part of the 9th Annual 4 Day Knitalong, a much-loved summer tradition created by designer Marie Greene of Olive Knits. It all began in 2017, when Marie challenged herself to knit a sweater in just four days — and invited knitters around the world to join her. The idea took off, and what started as a personal challenge became a global community event.

Each year since, thousands of knitters have joined in. And while the name has stuck, don’t worry — you don’t have to finish in four days. You can knit at your own pace throughout the month of July and enjoy the support, fun, and momentum of a shared creative journey.

This year’s featured design is Astro Pop — a top-down, seamless circular yoke sweater that brings a splash of vintage charm, simple colorplay (no stranded knitting!), and a comfy, swingy fit. It’s engaging to knit and easy to customize.

We’re recommending two stellar yarns from HiKoo as options for this project - Simplicity (a wonderful combination of merino, acrylic, and nylon) or CoBaSi DK (a fantastic wool-free option made of cotton, viscose from bamboo, silk, and nylon).
