We know that a misbehaving machine can be frustrating. If you believe your machine is defective and still under warranty, please contact the business where it was purchased. Machines purchased second hand or from unauthorized sellers are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

While opening the machine voids any warranty, sometimes it is a good option. We offer a selection of authentic repair parts that can be purchased HERE.
Please note we do not offer repair service, but skacel has curated a playlist of instructional repair videos. You can view that list HERE.

Here's a chart that offers insight as to what might be happening with a "cranky" machine (see what we did there?!)

USER ERROR

MANUFACTURER DEFECT

Dropped Stitches

Improper cast on, or tension is either too tight or too loose, using the wrong yarn

Needles may need replacing, internal gears not interacting properly

Grinding Noise

Tension is too tight
(Avoid using stiff yarn like cotton)

Internal components not compatible

Handle Doesn’t Turn

Tension too tight

Internal components not compatible, handle broken

Yarn Guide Broken

If it was left open as you turned the handle, this is considered user error and is not covered under warranty

Handle Disk Broken

Twisting/pushing/pulling the handle with too much force, cranking the machine too quickly

Slipping Gears

Either the gears on the handle are worn, or the gold inner ring is worn

Lost Part

Order replacement part (not manufacturer defect)

Leg Won’t Screw On

Probably the metal threading on the body of the machine has fallen out of place
